Louis Zacharilla
Managing Director

After a career in advertising, where his work included the award-winning “Be All You Can Be” campaign for the US Army and corporate sponsorship development for the 1984 Winter Olympics., Louis Zacharilla began consulting in 1983 with B2B companies in telecommunications, real estate and industrial applications on public relations, brand, and business development issues. Among numerous achievements, he has:

  • Developed programs that market high-value corporate sponsorship opportunities to multinational companies including Boeing, Eutelsat, Cisco Systems, Scientific-Atlanta, Lockheed Martin, Alcatel, The Spaceconnection and Verizon Global Solutions.
  • Advised a U.S.-based satellite software monitor and control company on ways to cost-effectively market and sell its services to the teleport industry, resulting in a record year for revenues and the successful sale of the company to a strategic investor.
  • Advised a major commercial real estate developer on the conceptual elements and the marketing for its 2.3 million, $400 million s/f “Telco Hotel” building at 111 Eighth Avenue in New York City, which produced full lease-up of the building in record time, including 60% of the building’s roof and large-scale POPs in the building’s basement.
  • Designed and executed a successful public relations for the nation’s largest wholesaler of commercial HVAC products that generated media exposure worth over $750,000 for less than 20% of the cost within 24 months.
  • Created two international awards programs for teleports and intelligent communities on behalf of trade association clients, which gained substantial media attention and generate annual revenue.
  • Wrote popular print ads for industrial clients that had never previously advertised, including Advatex (asbestos removal), United States Testing (non-destructive testing) and Bergen Auto Upholstery Company (commercial bus seats). The campaigns successfully created a brand image for the companies in their respective B2B markets.
  • Advised on strategy and tactics for the principals of a medical industry software firm, Clinical MicroSystems, whose goal was to identify a buyer and to exit. The company was successfully sold to publicly-traded ProxyMed.
  • Facilitated opportunity meetings of the management and sales teams of Ascom Timeplex, Louis Dreyfus Property Group, McGraw-Hill and New York Life to identify new areas for product development and investment.
